About Me

Rabbi Dr. Chaim Tureff is the founder and director of STARS (Spiritual Teachings and Recovery Service), guiding individuals through addiction recovery with a spiritual foundation. A graduate with Honors in History from UNC-Chapel Hill and a Master’s in Elementary Education from Columbia University, he brings a deep academic and pedagogical background to his work.

He received his rabbinical ordination (semicha) from Rav Dan Channen in Jerusalem and is an alumnus of the Darchei Noam and the Rabbinical Collage of America  Dr. Tureff earned his Ed.D in Jewish Education from Gratz College with High Honors, receiving the L. Bernard Rabinowitz Memorial Award for his focus on how Judaism and spirituality empower the recovery journey.
